June 8, 2010 | |

The leading manufacturer of vehicle cabs and enclosures in the U.S., Curtis Industries LLC, has announced a major product expansion.

New Curtis ProSeries™ Cabs

Included in its new ProSeries™ lineup are 16 new cab and vehicle enclosure products scheduled for release in the coming months.  Curtis has TrailPro™ enclosures for UTV’s, StreetPro™ covers for golf cars, and WorkPro™ products for compact tractors.

In the TrailPro™ Series, Curtis offers three UTV cab and enclosure choices from value priced to high-featured cabs for Yamaha’s Rhino, Polaris’ Ranger and RZR, and John Deere’s Gator XUV.  The Curtis StreetPro™ Series includes value and featured cabs for the Club Car Precedent and DS, the EZ GO TXT and RXV, and Yamaha’s Drive.  In the WorkPro™ Series Curtis offers choices for John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Kioti compact tractors.

40 Year Heritage Building Cabs

Curtis has been building cabs for over 40 years, with significant emphasis on compact tractors during most of that time in its 150,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in central Massachusetts.  Curtis added UTV’s to their product offering in 2008 with their new RCS cab design.  Now, Curtis is adding value-priced products which fit more closely with today’s consumer use, design and price demands.

New Value Cabs

Tom Dimauro, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “We’re in an ‘age of thrift’ and buyers are seeking out more value for their money and less of the bells and whistles.” Dimauro added the long economic downturn will most likely continue for some time until credit for small business and consumers is eased and unemployment recedes and stops its upward trend, bolstering the need for products which more closely align with the users’ needs.

Continuous Product Development

Dimauro said Curtis is engaged in continual product development to offer products for more vehicle brands and types based on current market research.  “Curtis utilizes its business relationships with hundreds of dealers throughout the Country to determine vehicle choice, product features, price and design”, Dimauro added.

More Accessories

Curtis will also be expanding its accessory product line which already includes a diverse choice of UTV plows, compact tractor front end loader blades, heaters, and spreaders.  Curtis’ new accessory offerings include:  more items for UTV’s such as work lights, beacons and strobes, light bars and signaling systems, mirrors, bumper guards, hood racks, center consoles, sound packages, and more.

Supporting Dealers

Curtis products are sold through OEM vehicle dealers in the United States and a small number of distributors in Canada.  Curtis recently released its new online catalog and ordering system-Curtis PartSmart™-allowing dealers to look up parts, place orders, see exploded views of cabs and parts, and search for instructions and manuals.  Curtis also just began issuing a monthly dealer newsletter to improve dealer communication.  The Curtis newsletter will soon include a feedback feature providing dealers a vehicle for their input.
